2. Access to the website / server logs

When you visit our website, certain technical information (such as IP address, browser type, operating system, time of access) is automatically processed and stored in server log files. This processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website).

3. Registration and use of SiteCare Log

When you register for SiteCare Log we process the data you provide (e.g. name, e-mail address, password, billing details) as well as usage data within the application (e.g. created clients, websites, activity logs, reports). Processing is carried out for the performance of the contract pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have a valid legal basis (e.g. contract or consent) for any personal data of third parties you enter into SiteCare Log (e.g. your own clients’ contact details).

4. Payments via Stripe

For paid plans we use the payment service provider Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd, 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, D02 H210, Ireland). When processing payments, payment data is transmitted to Stripe. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and efficient payment processing).

Further information on data processing by Stripe can be found in Stripe’s privacy policy: https://stripe.com/privacy.

5. Contact

If you contact us by e-mail or via a contact form, we process the data you provide to handle your request and for follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).

6. Cookies

We use cookies to provide basic website functions (e.g. login, session handling). These technically necessary cookies are based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a functional website).

For optional cookies (e.g. analytics or marketing) we ask for your consent via a cookie banner in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

7. Web analytics (if used)

If we use web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics or Matomo), this will only take place on the basis of your prior consent. Details on the specific tool, the data processed and your options to withdraw consent will be provided in the cookie banner and analytics settings.

8. Storage period

We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law. Usage data in your SiteCare Log account is deleted when you delete your account or downgrade and data deletion is triggered as part of the downgrade process (as described in the application).

9. Data recipients

Personal data is only shared with third parties if this is necessary for contract performance (e.g. payment providers), if we are legally obliged to do so or if you have given your explicit consent.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights: right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection and withdrawal of consent. You may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority if you believe that your data protection rights have been infringed. In Austria, this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde).
